The Clydeside Distillery is a significant single malt Scotch whisky distiller and international visitor attraction on the banks of the River Clyde in Glasgow, Scotland. Built on the site of the historic Queen's Dock, the strikingly renovated Old Pumphouse offers immersive distillery tours, whisky tastings and was an official COP26 venue hosting leaders from across the world.
My role was to create a slick, impactful website to entice a global audience and provide value to a loyal local visitor base. The outcome strikes a balance between immersive online brand expression and a streamlined booking and checkout journey for visitors and whisky buyers, as evidenced by exceeding £100,000 in sales within days of launch.
The Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC) stands as a global leader in hosting prestigious events in the heart of Scotland's capital. With cutting-edge facilities and a reputation for excellence, the EICC is an international hub for innovation and collaboration, drawing thought leaders and delegates from across the world.
Starting with a thorough UX audit and stakeholder interviews, EICC's new digital suite was fully redesigned and redeveloped to intuitively meet the needs of event organisers, delegates visiting the city for the first time, and driving EICC's ambition to deliver smarter, more sustainable world-class events.
Key features include comprehensive facilty overviews (allowing overseas event planners to immersively 'explore' the venue in 3D), a remote/hybrid events engine, pre-event purchase portal, and a redeveloped digital visual presentation which seamlessly marries the digital experience with the venue's internal wayfinding and signage.
Wendy Morrison is an international designer of luxury rugs, inspired by nature, the changing seasons and Asian art. Each statement piece is a work of art in its own right - traditionally hand tufted, while achieving aesthetic aspirations through a mix of traditional and modern materials.
In keeping with the incredible products, Wendy's online presence had to blend old and new, conveying the personality behind the designs; a digital moodboard of stunning contextual photography, design inspirations, and ready to buy products.
Edinburgh Zoo is a global attraction not just for its incredible collection of 2,500+ animals, but also for its dedication to endangered species conservation through breeding programs, education, and research.
In a broad overhaul of the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland's suite of digital sites, our focus was on enhancing both the user experience (UX) and visual identity of the website to better serve visitors and potential guests. Recognizing the importance of catering to both on-site visitors and those planning a trip, our team implemented clear signposting to relevant information such as upcoming zookeeper talks and special offers. A major aspect of our redesign involved infusing the website with a playful and immersive UI, better-reflecting the excitement and sense of discovery inherent in a zoo visit, while still emphasizing the Zoo's crucial conservation efforts.
Through meticulous design sprints across ticketing, membership, and donation journeys, we strived to streamline purchase processes and maximize revenue generation potential. Our efforts resulted in significant increases in RZSS membership and donation uptake, with a notable 80% boost. Leveraging an Umbraco CMS core, we seamlessly integrated the AccessGamma-ThanQ CRM platform, enabling efficient booking management and customer relationship nurturing. Additionally, we strategically optimised embedded features like live webcams to maintain brand engagement beyond the visit, underlining donation opportunities and animal adoption programs, providing a crucial source of revenue for the charity through the COVID-19 pandemic.
